Improving access to local communities

Zondereinde is building Lesedi village, a development of 240 houses near to Northam Town, as part of its strategy to improve access to home ownership for Northam employees.

In South Africa, the youth demographic (aged 15 to 34) faces higher unemployment rates than the national average, presenting challenges to their economic participation.

Booysendal operates in an area with a competitive labour market. This has recently resulted in higher employee turnover, especially for lower-level and critical skilled workers, who are attracted to new projects and local mining operations.
