The Northam Wolves rugby team at Eland participated in the Carlton Cup, a local open league played under the Blue Bulls Rugby Union.

Physical activity in a fun and relaxed setting not only bolsters physical health, but also provides a healthy emotional outlet for stress. At Northam, we see sport as an opportunity for our employees to bond outside of work, fostering team cohesion and morale. All of our mines – Eland, Booysendal and Zondereinde – have soccer, netball and athletics teams that engage in friendly competition. Eland and Zondereinde also have rugby clubs.
